The Arduino Ubuntu Package (Team) was founded to provide a Ubuntu package for the Arduino-IDE ( http://arduino.cc )

The package is not an official release made by the Arduino Team ( see http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Credits ).
We try to stay in synch with the latest 'official' Arduino for Linux release ( http://code.google.com/p/arduino/downloads/list ) but original code of the IDE has to be patched in a few places to allow packaging for Ubuntu.

So if you find a bug which you think is related to the packaging, please report it to the projects bug-tracking list.
