I'm just this guy, you know.

I strongly beleive in Free Libre open source software. I am a big fan of Ubuntu linux. I think it's success is related to how well it can tap into the potential of it's community. It is technically excellent as well as a fine example of how a community-driven effort is done.

I am a clinical perfusionist at the Kingston General Hospital. I run the heart-lung machine during open heart surgery as well as operating a variety of other means of cardiac support. I first used Computers in the eighties and was ative on the Montreal BBS scene (before the internet, there was 300 baud) (That ascii bunny was around then, too...)

I am married to my wife and have two little daughters and they all use Ubuntu. I have contributed to Jono Bacon's Official Ubuntu Book. http://fridge.ubuntu.com/node/282

I am az on Ubuntuforums.org. It used to be "azz" but I am told that after using that name for two years, it sounded too much like "ass" to some very-conservative people and I was asked to change it. The word "please" was used so I agreed.

I started the Ubuntu-rescue-remix project (http://ubuntu-rescue-remix.org/) to satisfy my needs for the best free-libre, open source data recovery and forensics tools available.

I enjoy running my own data recovery and IT services business in Kingston, Ontario (http://andrewzajac.ca/)
