I've been using Ubuntu since a colleague recommended it to me. I first dabbled with Red Hat 6 (i think) from a Magazine CD ROM. After 3 hours of trying to add a user, I gave up on Linux, and went back to windows. Years later I was recommended to try Ubuntu - I seem to recall it was 6.06 or something similar (would that be feisty?).

I 'dual' boot my home PC with windows and Ubuntu - I use the term loosely, as I only seem to use Windows to sync iTunes / IPod. I'm running Karmic (at the time of writing), but tend to upgrade within 2-3 weeks of a release.
