Software engineer (windows variety) for many years, now an academic doing computer vision research and discovering the joys of linux (specifically with Ubuntu, the joys of a linux based OS that works and is easy to use)!

I hope to move on from bug reporting to actual bug fixing and development at some point - but I still have a lot to learn about how linux / GNU based systems work...
